World Wildlife Fund

CONTEXT

As a Virginia commercial photographer, humanitarian photographer, and Virginia editorial photographer, Kyle had the opportunity to work on a powerful stills photography project for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in Accra, Ghana. Collaborating with the WWF marketing team, he helped tell the compelling story of commercial tuna fishing in the region, highlighting both its economic importance and its environmental challenges.

APPROACH

The shoot focused on documenting the fishermen’s daily lives, the scale of the fishing industry, and the impact of overfishing on local ecosystems. Through a combination of striking portraits, environmental portraits, and documentary-style photography, Kyle captured the human and ecological aspects of this critical issue.

RESULTS

The resulting imagery was used in various WWF campaigns to raise awareness about sustainable fishing practices and the conservation efforts needed to protect marine life. This project demonstrates Kyle's ability as a Virginia commercial photographer, humanitarian photographer, and Virginia editorial photographer to produce visually impactful work that communicates complex stories and supports global conservation initiatives.
